Pamela Anderson - A Star Is Born

Pamela Anderson was born on July 1 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada. Even at an early age Pamela was making a name for herself after being born on Canada's 100th Birthday. This earned her the title 'The Centennial Baby', an article in her local newspaper and cash prizes.

In School, Pamela Anderson was your ordinary high school girl interested in Volleyball and the Saxophone. She graduated Highland Secondary School in 1985 with the dream of becoming a California beach bum!

In 1988, Pamela Anderson moved to Vancouver and worked as a fitness instructor. Shortly after, in 1989, Pamela was invited to go to a Canadian Football game. During the match a cameraman saw Pamela in the crowd and filmed her. When the crowd looked up at the big screen and saw Pamela they went crazy. Labatt's beer noticed the crowds response and signed a deal that would make Pamela Anderson a model for their ad's throughout Canada.

That same year a photographer took some shots of Pamela and persuaded her to let him send them into Playboy. Playboy couldn't get enough and asked her to do cover shot for their October 1989 issue. She picked up and Ms. Anderson left Vancouver for sunny LA.

Pamela Anderson's popularity increased in 1990 after appearing on film for Playboy and was asked to appear in "Married with Children" and "Home Improvement". It just so happened that David Hasslehoff was a fan of "Home Improvement" and when he saw Pamela in the role of "Lisa", knew that she was the perfect fit for lifeguard C.J. Parker in his new series "Baywatch". She went on to star in the thriller "Snapdragon", the HBO movie "Raw Justice", detective series, "Mike Hammer", TV movie, "The Evolution of Mr. E." and feature film "Barb Wire". Pamela Anderson had become a star.

Pamela Anderson has more recently appeared in "Scooby Doo" (2002), "Scary Movie" (2003), in her own show, "VIP", and has co-created the animated series "Stripperella", all while writing columns for Jane, Canadian Elle and Marie Claire, UK.

In 1995, after dating for just 4 days, Pamela Anderson wed Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee on a beach in Cancun. With Pamela in a thong bikini and Tommy in swimming trunks, the couple proved their love by getting tattoos of each other's names rather than exchanging wedding rings. Pamela's most famous camera appearance soon surfaced in the form of a home video of her and Tommy Lee engaging in sexual acts. Following the birth of their first son Brandon in1996 the and their second son Dylan in 1997 Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee finally split in 1998.
